1992 arrived and with it new games! Surprisingly, in that year Capcom released only one beat 'em up, while Konami flooded the arcades with 3 new entries. Capcom had its reasons to reduce its beat 'em up output at the arcades since the Super Nintendo was selling like hotcakes and Capcom was flooding the stores with amazing releases.
To keep this competition fair, I had to pick the first game Konami released that year to face Capcom's only release. By the time Warriors of Fate was released, Konami was at its third game so, I think it was only fair. The other games, Asterix and Bucky O'Hare (which is hard to classify as a beat 'em up) will be presented in the near future facing other Capcom games. Next week we will be looking into the future and the return of Capcom to its former Arcade Glory.
Last week Konami took the lead in this competition, with 3 victories over Capcom. Turtles in Time was easily the favorite here on the site! Now, let's see if a popular franchise is enough to beat warriors mounting horses!
